Case Study: Warhol Museum 20th Anniversary

In association with Bonnie Walker Events, the Andy Warhol Museum tapped into REVOLUTION's boundless creativity to design, fabricate, and manage their 20th Anniversary extravaganza.  The Jet Set-themed weekend-long event’s complexity provided us the opportunity to shine on a national stage.

The filing of permits, the orchestration of city officials and the coordination with professional sports teams and the Pittsburgh half marathon personnel all in reference to closing major thoroughfares: made this event particularly challenging and required the REVOLUTION team to work closely with all to ensure a seamless event.

Upon arrival, 700 guests were directed into the event by pilots and stewardesses. After receiving their boarding passes at custom arrival counters, they were able to explore the museum prior to a seated dinner gala in an outdoor tent complete with an air traffic control center and a 140’ airport runway dance floor.

During dinner, custom LED centerpieces reminiscent of Warhol’s infamous self portrait-adorned table tops. The event raised more than $1 million dollars in charity auction, including $50,000 from the 70 highly sought-after 70 table centerpieces.

The weekend’s evening event closed with a glamorous VIP sit down dinner for 700 of Warhol's closest friends, family, and admirers along with the who’s who of Pittsburgh.  The over-the top-design would have made the artist proud as the jaw-dropping event concluded with a rededication event of the remarkable museum and a free to the public offering commencing at midnight.

The final production was a well-executed Family Day in the same space that the night time event occurred. REVOLUTION's all-encompassing turn-key capabilities are structured to design and deliver in a bold way, and we delivered.
